MINUTES OF MEETING – Annual General Meeting
Venue: Koondoola Hall, 26 July 2015 @ 2PM to 5PM
In attendance: all Vietnamese Community Management Committee members, Veteran Association, Senior Association, Women’s Association, Vietnamese Catholic representatives, Nollamara Temple representatives, Pho Quang Temple representatives, Baptist Church representatives, Viet Tan Party representatives, Cr Hugh Nguyen city of Wanneroo, Cr Anh Truong city of Wanneroo, Cultural Association representative, and the public.
Agenda:
1. Summary of The Management Committee’s activities 2014 – 2015: Dr Anh Nguyen President and Mr. Chanh Thai vice president for Internal Affairs:
Activities of the Vietnamese Community Office with Social Worker
- Availability of Tax Return, Social and Legal Advisory
- Refurbishment of the Boat People Monument
- Vietnamese Community Radio Program
- Vietnamese New Year 2015
- Vietnamese Language and Culture School
2. Financial report: Ms Anna Nguyen and Dr Anh Nguyen
3. Public opinions
4. Proposal for Constitution amendment approved by all, no motions against. The amendment will be posted on the website of the Vietnamese Community in Australia/WA Chapter for public opinion for 1 month. Will become official once registered.
5. Forming of the Electoral Commission for the Election of the Vietnamese Community Management Committee 2015 – 2017
6. Conclusion
Meeting concluded at 5PM.
